So, we're not going to Dublin.. There's a big chance the plane back won't fly because of weather conditions (more snow expected on sunday). And since Koen's still in sick leave he will get in a lot of trouble with his job. Also there's even more snow and ice in Dublin and with his knee injury and not being able to walk right there's a big chance he will slip..
It's his birthday today and I feel sad because this trip to Dublin was his birthday gift from me and now I don't have anything to give him.. We're going out to eat at our favorite Italian place tonight and to watch a movie. I'm sure we will have a nice time anyway, but I'd rather be snuggling up with a Guinness in a dark corner of an Irish pub.

This year didn't really start well. Koen hurt his knee pretty badly (old soccer injury) and now he can't walk properly and we might have to cancel our trip to Dublin. Our travel insurance doesn't cover canceling so that's a lot of money down the drain (hotel and plane ticket are already paid for). I really hope he's doing better friday and we get to celebrate his birthday abroad. Please hope with me!

Bruges is a very colorful city, yet I choose to show you this picture I took today. Because I honestly think it's one of the best pictures of 2009. I absolutely love the city and I can't believe I've never been there before. It was crawling with tourists but still the beauty was very visible. I can't wait to go there again and show Koen, because I'm in love.
